Happy New Decade

Happy new year and new decade!  It won't be hard for the next ten years to be better than the last, but certainly, nothing is guaranteed, either.  Let's work to make 2011 and its decade a great one!

Right back atcha! Love the graphic!

Speaking of things, have you heard of Modern Money Theory? I just read a really long post on FDL about it - quite impressive. The most intriguing item though is that this bit about refusing to raise the debt ceiling is actually unconstitutional. Anything that causes any doubt about the 'full faith and credit of the US' is illegal under a provision of the 14th Amendment. I wonder if all the Constitutional 'scholars' among the Teabaggers know this? Or if Justice Scalia will get to that in his little classes with Bagger Bachmann? Hmmm...

Well, it certainly will be interesting, no?

All the best to you and your family! Good luck in your new gig!
Peace!

Here's the link for the story I told you about - He tells the two economists who came up with it and I think one of them actually comes on the thread and comments.

Thanks on all fronts!

I haven't heard about the debt ceiling issue you mentioned, although I wonder if it's open to interpretation. (i.e. Someone would make the case that raising the ceiling causes doubt about the full faith and credit of the U.S.) Anyway, I'll check it out on FDL!
